The Wichita Chamber Chorale has sung an active schedule of performances in South Central Kansas for the past 25 years involving many of the area’s finest singers. New member auditions occur annually in early September.
Be prepared to sing a song or aria of your choice that demonstrates the range and quality of your voice. Please keep the length of your piece to 2 or 2 1/2 minutes. An accompanist will be provided. You may also be asked to sight-sing and to demonstrate aural skills. The audition will last about 10 minutes.
- While some members sing for the entire season, because of scheduling conflicts others may sing only part of the season.
- Once committed to singing for a specific event, dependable attendance at rehearsals is expected of everyone.
- Our members are normally not paid, although we strive to function professionally in every other way.
- No dues are required and all music is furnished.
- Members provide their own concert attire to conform with ensemble standards.
- One hour of graduate credit per concert may be earned through Wichita State University for singing any of the series concerts.
